AUTO BREAK-INS & THEFTS

This is to make all residents aware of the unfortunate events our neighborhood has experienced lately. In spite of our front gate for security, the recent break-ins have been in the middle of the night. We URGE you to park your cars in the driveway or garage and be sure they are locked. Also, leave the outdoor light on.

If you do experience a break-in, vandalism or a suspicious act of any kind, please report it to the police and to us, your board. We are fortunate to live near the police substation on Jones-Maltsberger. We suggest you program the phone number....207-7273 (207-SAPD) into your cell phones. Reports to the police will heighten the attention we receive from the police in general.

We also highly recommend you consider taking one of the Cellular on Patrol (COPS) courses. The classes are only 4 hours long on Sat mornings or Mon nights. Call (210) 394-0626 to sign up.

REMINDER ON EXTERIOR HOUSE CHANGES

If you plan to change the exterior color of your home or alter its appearance, you must get approval from the Architectural Control Committee (ACC). The ACC exists to keep the aesthetic appearance of our neighborhood in harmony. This will keep property values up. Please contact ProComm to file an application with the ACC, request more information, or receive a copy of the HOA bylaws.

PARKED CARS ON STREET

It seems like more and more cars are parking on the street.    Please consider parking your vehicles in your garage or driveway.  This is not against any regulation but excess of cars tend to cause problems:
1.  When parked on the street, they can prohibit trash-pick up on Tues and Thurs.  The new trash system will not come near parked cars for fear of damage to vehicle.
2.  Can obstruct view of addresses of curbs when emergency personnel enter neighborhood.
3.  Can impede driveways and people backing out.
4.  Parking in your driveway/garage can heighten the safety of children who play in the street.
5.  People have been found to park in front of the fire hydrants.
6.  Know criminal activity for cars parked on street increase due to people breaking into cars that will have access to your garage door opener, therefore; have access to get in your house.
7.  Parking in your garage or driveway can give the neighborhood and cleaner appearance.
